Mirza Fry & Chinese

Our little spot is called Mirza Fry & Chinese and we are located in the Khanpur area of Ahmedabad. You can find us near the Gujarat Samachar Press, specifically at Abdul Wahab Saheb Ka Tekra in J P Chowk. It’s an old part of the city with a lot of character. We specialize in exactly what the name says—fried items and Chinese dishes. It’s the kind of food people crave in the evenings. The kitchen is always buzzing with the sound of woks and the smell of frying oil. It’s not a quiet place, especially when the evening rush hits. We have a few tables, but a lot of people just take their food to go. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a while and we know most of the people who live around J P Chowk. The menu is simple and we don’t try to do anything too complicated. We just want the flavors to be right. We get our ingredients from the local markets every day. It's a small operation, just a few of us working together. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy sign. Most of our customers come because they’ve lived here their whole lives or they work at the press nearby. If you are in Khanpur and want some hot food, we are usually here until late at night. We just keep our heads down and keep the fryers going for everyone.
