Mechanical Systems

Our workshop is at 61, Industrial Estate. It’s just a plain building, nothing special to look at from the outside. Mechanical Systems has been here for a long time. The street outside is usually lined with trucks and bikes. Inside, it smells like grease and metal, which is how it should be. We’ve got a few benches set up and some old cabinets for the files. We aren't big on decorating. Most of the walls are just bare concrete with some calendars hanging up. We have a small team, and we all know our jobs. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside until it comes back on. It gives us a chance to talk to the neighbors. There is a lot of history in this industrial estate. You see the same faces every day. We don't really have a big front office or a receptionist. If the door is open, you just walk in and yell for someone. Usually, one of us will come out from the back. We just do our work and don't make a big fuss about things. Mechanical Systems is just a small outfit trying to get things done right at number 61. It’s loud, it’s messy sometimes, but it’s our place. We don't need much else besides our tools and enough work to keep us occupied through the week. It’s a living, and we’re happy with that arrangement.
