Maruti Marbles

Our shop is at No. 12 in the Mahalakshmi Industrial Estate. We are right near the Gota railway flyover in Gotagam. You can hear the trains passing by all day long, which is just something we’ve gotten used to over the years. We mostly deal with marble here. It is a bit different to handle than granite because you have to be more careful with the edges. Our yard is filled with different varieties of marble slabs. We don't have a fancy office or any marketing people. It’s just us doing the daily work of measuring, cutting, and loading. We’ve been in this estate for a long time and we know most of the other business owners nearby. It’s a good community of people who work with their hands. We don't bother with fancy displays. The stone is just sitting there in stacks, and you can walk through and pick what you like. Sometimes we are very busy and the yard feels a bit cramped, but we manage. We try to be helpful when someone has questions about the different types of marble, but we don't try to push them into buying anything. It is a straightforward way of working. We show up in the morning, handle the orders, and see what the day brings. It’s not a glamorous life, but it is honest and it keeps us busy.
