Maheshwari Marble

You can find us over in Keshar Nagar, right across from the Khodiyar Temple in the Gota area. It’s a nice spot, and having the temple nearby makes it easy to tell people where to go. Maheshwari Marble has been part of this neighborhood for a while. We have stacks of marble and other stones sitting out, and we spend our days checking through them. It’s a lot of standing around on the hard ground and moving heavy pieces when someone needs a specific look. The sun hits the yard pretty hard in the afternoon, which makes the marble shine, but it also makes it a bit warm to work in. We don't have any big corporate slogans or anything like that. We just show up, move the stone, and help people find what they need for their floors or counters. The Gota area is growing fast, so there’s always something happening on the streets around us. Sometimes we’re just chatting with the neighbors while we wait for a delivery truck. It’s a simple way to make a living. We know the stones pretty well by now, how they feel and how they cut. It’s not an easy job on the back, but it's okay. We keep things pretty relaxed here. If you're walking past the temple, you'll see our gates and the piles of stone ready to go. Just a local business doing its thing, without making a big fuss about it.
