Mahalaxmi Marble & Granite

Our place, Mahalaxmi Marble & Granite, is right on the S G Highway in the Gota area. We’re specifically on Gota Road, near the Gota Cross Road and just across from the Umiya Weigh Bridge. It’s a very busy spot with trucks and cars zooming by all day. The noise from the highway is something you just get used to after a while. We have a lot of granite and marble sitting out in the yard, and because we’re near the weigh bridge, there’s always some activity nearby. The shop itself is pretty basic. We don't have fancy lights or a big showroom feel. It’s more of a working yard where we store and move stone. We spend a lot of time outside, even when the sun is really hot, because that’s where the slabs are. When a customer stops by, we usually just walk them around the piles so they can see the natural patterns in the granite. It’s heavy, dirty work and we usually go home covered in stone dust. People find us easily because of the highway and the weigh bridge across the street. We’ve been at this Gota location for some time now. We just focus on keeping the stock levels right and making sure the slabs are stored safely so they don't fall over. It’s a lot of work, but it’s what we do here every day.
