M. K. Stone

M. K. Stone is located right opposite the Jivan Complex on the Narol Naroda Highway in Ghodasar. If you know that road, you know how busy it gets with all the trucks and traffic passing by constantly. Our yard sits right there in the middle of all that activity. We spend most of our time out there among the slabs of stone, regardless of the heat. It’s a dusty job, and by the end of the day, everything is covered in a fine layer of gray, but that’s just how it goes in this business. We don’t spend much time in the office because there is always something to move or measure outside. People stopping by are usually in a hurry, so we try to get them what they need without too much fuss. We’ve got different types of stone stacked up, and we know where every piece is, even if it looks like a mess to someone else. It isn’t a glamorous life, but it’s what we do. The highway noise is just background music to us now. We’ve been in Ghodasar for quite some time, and we’ve seen the area change around us. We just keep doing what we know, which is handling stone and helping out whoever walks through the gate. There are no big speeches here, just work. Every day is pretty much the same, and we like it that way.
