We’re located in the Anand Shopping Centre, right across from the Ship Building on C. G. Road. It’s unit number two. It's a busy spot in Ahmedabad, and we’ve been here for quite some time now. Laxmi Jewellery Exports is basically a small office where we handle all the paperwork and designs for the jewelry we send out. It’s not a showroom where you can walk in and browse a hundred items. Most of our work is done on order. The office is a bit small and we have a lot of cupboards filled with old records and samples. We spend a lot of time on the computer or talking to the craftsmen who do the actual making. Sometimes the AC makes a weird noise, but we just ignore it. We aren't big on corporate talk. We just like making sure the pieces look right before they get shipped. C. G. Road has changed a lot since we started. There are more shops now and parking is a nightmare. Most of our clients have been with us for years. They know we’re just a small team trying to do things right. We usually have a lot of boxes lying around when a big order is going out. It looks messy, but we know where everything is. If you’re coming to visit, it’s best to call because we might be out at the workshop or checking on a shipment. We usually close up around seven.
