Our office and yard for Lafarge A & C India Private Limited are located at Plot Number 41 in Naroda. This part of the G.I.D.C., Phase-I, is always humming with activity from the other factories and units around us. We spend a lot of time managing the materials and keeping track of the schedules for the concrete work. It is an industrial area, so there is always noise and trucks moving in and out of the gates. We have been in this spot for a while, and it suits what we do because of the space we have for the heavy equipment. The yard gets a bit muddy when it rains, and the sun really beats down on the concrete during the summer months. Most of the staff here are used to the pace of the G.I.D.C. environment. We aren't trying to be anything fancy; we just have a job to do with the construction materials. The office inside is simple, just some desks and files where we keep the records for the different sites we supply. It’s a busy life in Naroda, and we are just one part of the big industrial puzzle here. We start early in the morning before the traffic gets too bad and usually finish up when the sun starts to go down. It's steady work and keeps everyone occupied throughout the week, making sure the deliveries are logged and the machinery is ready for whatever task comes next.
