Kunal Restaurant

Ashram Road is always a bit of a mess with the traffic and noise, especially the section near the Natraj Cinema. Our restaurant is right there, very close to H K College, so we get a lot of students coming in between their classes for a quick bite. They are usually in a hurry or just looking for something that does not cost too much. It is a loud area with all the buses and auto-rickshaws constantly honking their horns outside our door. Inside, we have very basic tables and the walls are mostly plain without much on them. We do not spend money on advertising or fancy neon lights. Most people just find us because they are already walking on Ashram Road for some other work. The morning starts quite early for us, getting the kitchen prep done before the college opens up for the day. We deal with all sorts of different people, from office workers in their shirts to students in jeans. Sometimes the sink in the back acts up or a light bulb starts flickering, and we just have to fix it ourselves while we are serving the customers. It is a busy life here in Ahmedabad 380009. We do not try to be something we are not. It is just a place where you can sit down for a bit and have a meal away from the dust and heat of the main road. The staff is used to the fast pace and the noise. We just make sure the food is ready and the water glasses are full for the people who stop by.
