Konark Furniture

You can find Konark Furniture at C-10 in the Karnavati Estate. This place is right on the Sarkhej-Sanand Highway, on Sarkhej Road. Being on the highway means there’s a lot of traffic passing by all day. Our building is a big space because furniture takes up a lot of room. We have rows of sofas, tables, and different wooden items. The floors usually have a bit of dust on them because we are always moving things around or unboxing new stuff. The light inside isn't very bright since the building is deep, but we have some lamps hung up. We spend most of our time talking to people who stop in while they are driving past. A lot of our day is just checking the wood and the fabric on the pieces to see how they look. We have a small desk near the door where we keep our books and papers. The noise from the trucks on the highway is constant, but you just get used to it after a while. We have been at this location for a good number of years. It’s a practical spot for us because the big delivery trucks can get in and out easily without much trouble. We don't have a fancy entrance, just a simple sign and some furniture near the front window so people can see what we have. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting and shifting things, but it keeps us busy.
