Jyoti Granite And Marble is easy enough to spot on the Sardar Patel Ring Road over in Kathwada. We are situated near the Galaxy Intercity building and just across from Dastan Farm. Being on the Ring Road means there is a constant stream of traffic and noise, which we have gotten used to over the years. The yard is full of heavy slabs of granite and marble stacked up. You have to be careful walking around because those pieces are heavy and can be slippery if it rained recently. We spend our days showing people different colors of stone and explaining how they cut. It is a lot of heavy lifting and moving things with the crane. Sometimes the dust from the cutting saws gets everywhere and we have to wash the slabs down just so people can see the actual patterns. It’s hard work on the back and the legs, standing on the concrete all day. We aren't big on fancy talk here, we just show you what we have in stock and tell you how much it costs. The area around Kathwada has grown a lot lately but we are still right here in the same spot. When it gets busy, the yard is a mess of trucks and people, but we manage to keep it moving somehow. It’s just a regular stone yard run by people who know their rocks and how to move them safely.
