J.K.Cement Works

Being based in Ahmedabad is quite a change from the plant sites in Rajasthan. Our address is 7/110 P.H.Q in Shahibaug, which is a pretty well-known part of the city. Shahibaug is usually busy, with a lot of traffic and people moving around at all hours. It’s a bit different working for J.K.Cement Works from a city office like this. You don’t have the huge open spaces or the quiet of the colony life here. Instead, it’s the sound of rickshaws and the city bustle outside the window. The building at P.H.Q is where the paperwork gets handled and the logistics are sorted out. It’s a functional space, nothing too elaborate, just plenty of desks and phones ringing. We’ve been at this location for a bit, and the staff knows the local lunch spots and the best shortcuts to avoid the main road traffic during rush hour. It feels like a real city job here, even though the core of the work is connected to the cement business. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at schedules. It's an honest day's work in a crowded part of town. If you are coming by, the Shahibaug area can be a bit of a maze if you don't know the landmarks, but once you find 7/110, you’re in the right spot. It’s just how things are in a place like Ahmedabad.
