Jain Marble

You’ll find Jain Marble right near Gota Chokdi, across from the Khodiyar Mata Temple on Gota Road. Being in Gota Gam, we’re right where a lot of the local action is. We’ve been dealing in marble for quite a long time now. The yard is full of different types of marble, from the plain white ones to the ones with lots of swirls and colors. It’s a lot of manual labor, moving these big sheets of stone around so people can see the full pattern. Marble is beautiful but it’s also heavy and can be fragile if you don’t know what you’re doing. We spend our days mostly loading trucks and helping people pick out slabs for their homes. The temple across the road is a good landmark, and we hear the bells throughout the day while we’re working. It’s dusty work, and our shoes are always covered in white powder from the stone. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing plan. We just stay open, talk to whoever walks in, and show them the stock we have on hand. Sometimes a customer wants a specific cut, and we do our best to get it sorted. It’s a simple business. We like being in this part of Gota. It feels like home to us. We just keep doing what we know, which is selling marble to folks who are building or fixing up their places. We hope to stay here for many more years.
