Our office for J K White Cement Ltd. is located on Ashram Road, right at Plot No-3 in the Mill Officers Colony. It’s a pretty central spot, so there is always something going on outside. We are right opposite the Times of India building, which is what we tell people when they are trying to find us for the first time. We are also tucked in behind La Gajjar Chambers. The area is always buzzing with people and cars. Inside the office, things are usually quiet except for the phones ringing. We spend most of our time dealing with cement orders and logistics. It gets a bit dusty around here sometimes, but that is expected with the kind of work we do. The desks are a bit crowded with ledgers and samples of white cement. We’ve been at this location for a long time, and we know the street vendors and the security guards at the nearby buildings quite well. The afternoon sun hits the windows directly, so it can get a bit warm, but we have some old curtains to help with that. It’s a straightforward operation. We just come in, handle the paperwork, talk to the suppliers, and make sure everything is moving like it should. Ashram Road is never quiet, but we’ve gotten used to the constant hum of the city while we work through our daily tasks.
