Hungers Choice Restaurant

Hungers Choice Restaurant is right by the Kankaria Lake in Ahmedabad, specifically in the Balvatika area. If you have ever been to Kankaria, you know how packed it gets, especially on the weekends and during the festivals. There are kids everywhere because of Balvatika, and the noise from the park carries right over to us. We are right in the thick of it. Our kitchen stays busy from the moment we open. It is a lot of chopping, cooking, and cleaning up after the lunch and dinner rushes. We don't have a lot of quiet moments here. The smell of food is always in the air. We are a local spot where families come after they have been walking around the lake. The floors get dirty fast with all the foot traffic, so we are always mopping. We keep the menu simple and focused on what people around here like to eat. It is hot work, especially with the stoves going and the Ahmedabad sun outside. We don't have any fancy decorations; it is just tables, chairs, and good food. The staff is mostly local guys who know the area well. We just keep our heads down and serve whoever walks through the door. It is a busy life being near the lake.
