Hema Stone & Marbles

If you know where the Khodiyar Mataji Temple is in Gota Gam, then you can find Hema Stone & Marbles pretty easily. We are right across from it, close to the Gayatri Weighbridge. It is a busy spot with trucks going back and forth all day long. We keep a variety of stones here in the yard. Most of the time, we are just busy moving things with the crane or talking to people about their house projects. It is not a quiet job at all. The dust gets on everything, but that is just how it is when you work with marble and stone. We have got different types of slabs stacked up. Some people come in looking for something very specific for their stairs or a courtyard. We just walk around the yard with them and show what is available. Sometimes the stock changes depending on what we can get from the suppliers. We are not trying to be fancy here. It is just a place where you can come and look at stone without any pressure. We use the weighbridge nearby quite a bit for the bigger loads. Gota Gam has changed a lot lately, but we are still here doing the same thing. We just open up in the morning, sweep the place a bit, and wait for the first customer. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from sunup to sundown. We just keep our heads down and work.
