Our workshop is located at Plot No. 1102/D in Phase III of the G.I.D.C. Estate in Vatva. We’re pretty easy to find because we’re right near the water tank, which is a good landmark in this part of the estate. Working with hydraulics means things are usually heavy and oily. We deal with pumps, cylinders, and all the hoses that go with them. The sun can be really brutal out here in Vatva, and the metal gets hot to the touch by noon, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early in the morning. We have a few benches set up where we take things apart to see why they’re leaking or why the pressure isn't holding. It’s the kind of work where you’re always wiping your hands on a rag. We aren't a big corporate office; we’re just a bunch of guys who know how to fix hydraulic systems. There’s usually some scrap metal in the corner and a stack of old catalogs on the table. We don't spend money on fancy signs or anything like that. Most of our work comes from the other factories nearby that need their machines running again. We just do the repairs, test them out, and send them back. It’s a practical business and we take it one job at a time. The water tank is a nice spot for a bit of shade when we take our lunch break outside.
