Our shop is at 22 Kamlesh Society, which is near the old Dhor Bazar on Kankaria Road. We are right opposite Amrakunj Society in Ahmedabad. H D Decorators & Catering Services has been around for a while. We basically provide everything you need for a function, like the tents, chairs, and also the food. Our storage area is full of folded chairs and bundles of colorful cloth for the pandals. It can get quite chaotic when we have three or four events on the same day. We have a small crew of guys who do the heavy lifting and setting up. Kankaria is a very lively area, especially with the lake nearby, so we are often working late into the night. We don't have a fancy showroom or a big office. People usually just drop by the house or call us on the phone. My family has been in this line of work for years, so we know how to handle the pressure when a wedding is about to start and the weather looks bad. We just use simple, reliable equipment and cook traditional meals that people like. The traffic on Kankaria Road can be a mess sometimes, but we always find a way to get our trucks through. It is a tough job, being on your feet and moving heavy things, but it is what we know.
