Gurukrupa Restaurant

Our little place is tucked away behind the New Cloth Market in Raipur. If you are walking around Kothari Market, you will probably see us. We are in the 380001 area of Ahmedabad, so there’s always something going on outside our door. We mostly get people who are working in the markets or doing their shopping for the day. It’s a simple setup where you can just sit down and have a meal without a lot of fuss. We have been here for a bit now, and the menu hasn't changed much because people seem to like what they usually get. The kitchen stays pretty active from morning until we close up at night. Sometimes the chairs are all full and it gets a little loud, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We don’t try to be anything special, just a restaurant where you get decent food. Most of our regulars are the shopkeepers from nearby who don’t want to go too far for lunch. We keep the water glasses filled and the tables wiped down as fast as we can. It’s not a fancy dining experience, just a local spot for people who are hungry and in the area. We know a lot of the faces that come through every day. It’s nice to have that connection with the neighborhood around the cloth market. Nothing fancy, just us and the food we cook every day for whoever stops in.
