Goras Villa

If you head out on the Hathijan Mahemdavad Road in Ahmedabad, you’ll come across Goras Villa. We are located near the Badodra Patiya, which is a bit of a distance from the city center. The road out here is wide and can be quite dusty when the wind picks up. The villa sits on a decent piece of land, so there’s a bit more breathing room than you find in the middle of town. We spend a lot of time maintaining the grounds because the dry heat can be hard on everything. The building itself is plain and functional. Inside, the rooms are basic with just the necessary furniture. We don't have a lot of staff, so you'll usually see the same two or three people every day. We handle the cleaning, the cooking, and the guest check-ins all by ourselves. It gets very quiet at night out here compared to the city, which some people like and others find a bit strange. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we have a few lanterns and a generator to keep things going. We don't have a big kitchen menu, just a few things we know how to make well. Most people who come here are either traveling to Mahemdavad or have some business nearby. It’s not a place for big parties or anything, just a spot to stay on the edge of the city. We lock the gate at night and the crickets start their noise.
