We are based out of the Sabarmati Industrial Area. G. S. Wilkhoo Engineering Work has its main setup right here in Sabarmati. It’s a busy part of town with lots of other workshops nearby. Our building is a bit older, but it serves us well for the kind of engineering work we do. There’s always the sound of welding or cutting going on. We have a team of people who have been doing this for a long time. It’s hard work and the floor is usually covered in scrap metal by the evening. We try to keep it organized, but in a machine shop, that’s easier said than done. We aren't much for corporate meetings or long presentations. Most of our talking happens on the shop floor. Sabarmati is a good place for a business like ours because everything is close by. We’ve been part of this industrial community for quite a while. Our name is on the gate, though the paint is peeling a bit now. We don't spend much on advertising. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they’ve seen our trucks. It’s a family-run kind of feel, even though we are a private limited. We just get on with the tasks at hand. Every day is different, but the work stays the same. The coffee machine in the corner is older than most of our staff, but it still makes a decent cup. We just keep our heads down and get the engineering finished.
