East International

Our office for East International is up on the 10th floor of Avdhesh House. If you’re familiar with Ahmedabad, we’re right near the A.E.C. on the Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway. Being up on the 10th floor gives us a decent view of the highway, which is usually packed with cars. We deal with international trade, so our schedule is often a bit weird because of the time differences. Sometimes we are here late at night talking to people on the other side of the world. The office is pretty functional. We have our desks, some meeting space, and a lot of documents piled up. It gets a bit hectic when we have multiple shipments moving at once. The SG Highway area has grown so much since we first moved in. It used to be quieter, but now there are buildings everywhere. We like being here because it’s a central spot for business in the city. We don't really go in for fancy talk or big marketing pitches. We just handle the logistics and the trading side of things. Most of our day is spent tracking containers or negotiating prices over the phone. It’s steady work. We have a small group of employees who have been with us for a long time. We just keep our heads down and try to make sure everything gets where it’s supposed to go without any major issues. It takes a lot of coordination to keep things moving across borders.
