Divine Engineers (Odhav)

Our workshop is located at 34 Krishna Estate. It’s right near Soni Ni Chali on the Panna Estate Road in Odhav. This part of Odhav is always humming with activity. Divine Engineers (Odhav) has been running out of this unit for several years. The estate can get quite hot in the afternoons, especially with the machines running. We have a small office section partitioned off, but mostly it is just open space for the engineering work. There are a lot of other units around us, so the air is always filled with the sound of grinding and metal hitting metal. We don't have much in the way of decorations. The walls are mostly bare except for some calendars and notes we’ve scribbled over time. Finding us can be a bit tricky if you don't know the Panna Estate Road area well, as all the gates look similar. We usually tell people to look for the landmark near Soni Ni Chali. It’s a very hands-on environment here. We don't spend much time sitting down. There is always a piece of equipment to check or a job to finish before the day ends. We just keep our heads down and get through the tasks. It’s a gritty, honest way to make a living in the industrial heart of the city. Some days are longer than others, but we stay until the jobs are done.
