Dharti Corporation/Krishna Cement Depot (Naroda)

Our yard is over in Naroda, right by the Jain Derasar. If you're coming from the Samrat Nagar Isanpur Cross Road, we aren't hard to find. It’s a bit of a dusty business, dealing with cement all day, so don't expect things to look spotless when you walk in. We go by Dharti Corporation or Krishna Cement Depot depending on who you ask, but it's the same group of us here. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading bags. My back usually feels it by the end of the week. The area gets pretty crowded with trucks, especially during the morning rush. We try to keep the piles neat but when a big delivery comes in, everything gets a bit chaotic for a few hours. The temple nearby is a nice landmark for people who get lost trying to find the warehouse. We’ve been in this spot for a while and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. It’s practical work. We don't have much of a lobby, just a small space with a desk where we handle the billing and some plastic chairs for waiting. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it's quiet enough to actually finish a cup of tea. We just keep at it, making sure the orders go out to the sites on time. It's honest work and it keeps us on our feet. We usually have some stray dogs hanging around the yard too.
