Dharmen Marble & Stone

Our office is over at Jadhav Chambers on Ashram Road, right near the Income Tax office. It is a central part of town, so things are always moving fast outside our windows. We have been in this building at 16 B for some time. It is not a massive warehouse like some of the yards on the outskirts of the city. Instead, we keep samples and photos here so people can see what is possible with marble and stone. It is a bit quieter inside the office than out on the street, which is nice when we are trying to look over plans. We usually have a few pieces of marble sitting on the desks. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to the quarries or checking on where a shipment is. Sometimes the elevators in the building are slow, so we end up taking the stairs. It is just a regular office environment where we handle the paperwork side of the stone business. Customers come in after finishing their work at the nearby government offices. We sit down, have some tea, and look at the different types of stone they might want for their renovations. It is a simple setup without any bells and whistles. We just focus on the stone and making sure we know what the builders are asking for each day.
