Chawla Traders

Chawla Traders is tucked away in Sharaf Chawl, over in the Rakhial area. We are quite close to the Jain Temple and right opposite the Patel Mill. If you know that mill, you can’t miss us. It’s a lively neighborhood with a lot of history. The chawl itself has been there forever. We don't have a lot of room, so we have to be smart about how we stack our stock. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when customers come in at the same time. We’ve been here for many years, seeing businesses come and go around Rakhial. The temple nearby brings a lot of peace to the street, even when the traffic is heavy. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we work. It’s just me and a couple of helpers most days. We don't go in for big meetings or anything like that. We just talk over tea and get to work. Most of our customers are locals who have been buying from us for a long time. They know where we are and how we do things. It’s a simple trade. We get things in, we sell them out. It’s not a complicated life. The Patel Mill across the way is a good landmark for people who aren't from this side of town. We just keep doing our thing every day. We share this space with a few other small businesses, so there's always someone to chat with if things are slow.
