Bhavna Caterer/Ma Durga Decorators

We do two things here at Sola Road. We cook food and we decorate places for parties. We are based out of Laxmikrupa Appartment in Parasnagar. It is a residential area, so we know all our neighbors. People usually come to us when they have a wedding or a small function at home. We have a lot of big cooking vessels stored in our garage. Sometimes we are out late at night setting up tents or lights. Ma Durga Decorators is the name we use for the stage work. Bhavna Caterer is for the food. It is a lot of juggling. One day we are peeling sacks of potatoes and the next we are hanging flower garlands. Our apartment is usually full of stuff, from tablecloths to big spoons. Sola Road has seen a lot of new buildings lately. We go all over the city now, but mostly we stay close to home. We do not have a fancy office. We just meet people at their houses or they come here to see our photos. It is a bit messy sometimes with all the wires and fabric lying around. We work hard during the season. In the monsoon, things slow down and we fix our equipment. We do not have a big team, just some local boys who help when there is a big order. It is honest work and it keeps the kitchen running.
