Bharat Tiles/Vijay Marble & Kota Stone

Bharat Tiles and Vijay Marble & Kota Stone is located right at the Bhairavnath Char Rasta in Maninagar. It is a very visible spot because of all the heavy stone slabs and tile stacks we have out front. Working with marble and stone is heavy, dirty work, and we are usually covered in some kind of stone dust by the end of the shift. We spend our days helping people pick out the right kind of material for their floors or walls. It’s a lot of lifting and moving pieces around so customers can see the patterns in the light. Maninagar is a busy area, so there is always a lot of traffic at the four-way crossing right outside our door. We have been here at Bhairavnath for a long time, and we know many of the contractors and masons who work in this part of town. The shop is more of a yard than a fancy showroom, with rows of Kota stone and piles of tiles organized by size and color. We don’t have a lot of staff, so we all chip in with the unloading of the trucks when they arrive from the quarries. It’s a very physical environment and we do not spend much time sitting down. We just focus on keeping the inventory straight and making sure the stone is handled carefully so nothing breaks before it gets to the job site for installation.
