Bhansali Commodities Pvt Ltd is located right here in the New Cloth Market. We are up on the first floor at number 27. It gets pretty loud downstairs with all the movement and the trucks coming in, but up here it’s a bit more focused on the desk work. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. The walls are a bit plain, just filled with files and a few calendars. Every day starts with checking the market rates and making phone calls. There are plenty of tea stalls around the market, so someone is usually running down to grab a few cups for the staff. The stairs can be a bit steep when you’re carrying stuff, but we’re used to it. The floor is mostly filled with paperwork and samples of the stuff we trade. It’s not a fancy office with big glass windows, just a practical space where we get things done. In the afternoons, the market gets even more crowded and the noise from the street drifts up through the windows. We spend a lot of time on the computer, tracking things and making sure the logistics are moving. Most of us have worked here long enough to know the neighbors by name. Sometimes the electricity acts up, so we just wait it out or find something else to do. It is just a regular workplace where people show up, do their jobs, and go home when the market closes up for the day.
