Azad Halwai Restaurant

We’ve been here at Gandhi Bridge Corner for a good while now, right across from the Reserve Bank. Being near the Income Tax office on Relief Road means we see a lot of people coming and going every day. It’s a busy spot, but we try to keep things simple inside. The kitchen is always moving, especially when the morning crowd starts looking for snacks or when the lunch rush kicks in. We don’t have fancy decorations or anything like that. It’s just a plain room with tables where you can sit down and eat something sweet or a full meal. Sometimes it gets a bit loud when it’s full, but that’s just how it is around here. We spend most of our time making sure the food is ready on time. There’s no big team of managers, just us working in the back and serving at the front. We know most of the regulars who work in the nearby offices. If you’re walking past the bridge, you’ll see our sign easily enough. We aren't trying to do anything complicated, just keeping the stoves going and the counters stocked with what people like. It’s hard work, but we are used to the pace of Relief Road by now. Usually, someone is always cleaning a table or packing up an order for a walk-in customer. That's pretty much our day from start to finish. We just do our job and hope the food is what people were looking for.
