Associates Engineers

Our spot is at L 5/5-130 in Shastrinagar, which is a busy little corner of Naranpura in Ahmedabad. If you walk by, you’ll see Associates Engineers tucked away in a building that’s seen better days, but it works for us. Ahmedabad is always moving, and this neighborhood is no different with the rickshaws and the local shops right nearby. We spend our mornings looking over technical drawings and trying to figure out how to make things fit together. It’s not a big corporate setup. It’s more like a few desks pushed together with a lot of pens and rulers scattered around. We have a small team and sometimes the chai break lasts longer than it should because we get talking about the cricket score or the traffic on the main road. The walls are covered with old calendars and some project charts that we’ve been meaning to update. It gets pretty humid here in Gujarat, so the AC struggles sometimes, but we get the job done. We don't go around calling ourselves the best or using big words to describe what we do. We are just engineers who show up at the office, answer the phone, and try to get the measurements right. It’s honest work and we like being part of the Shastrinagar community. Most of our neighbors are just regular folks running their own small businesses too. We stay busy with the local projects and that's enough for us to keep going.
