Asian Granito India Ltd.

We are based in the Ceramic Zone of Dalpur, which falls under the Prantij Taluka. This is another unit of Asian Granito India Ltd. out here in this industrial belt. It’s quite a distance from the main city, so it feels a bit isolated sometimes, except for all the industrial activity. The landscape is mostly factories and open ground. Our daily routine involves a lot of lifting and moving of heavy stone and ceramic slabs. We use some machines for the heavy stuff, but there’s still a lot of manual work involved. The staff stays mostly on-site because there isn't much else around here. We have a canteen that serves basic food, which is where we all gather during the lunch break. The office is just a small room with some old fans and a few computers that struggle with the heat sometimes. We aren't here to impress anyone with a polished look. We are here to process the materials and send them where they need to go. Every day we see rows and rows of tiles being graded and sorted. Some have small chips and get put aside. We have to be very careful about that. It’s a repetitive job, but it’s what we do. The wind blows a lot of sand around, so we’re always cleaning the surfaces of the slabs. It’s just life in a factory zone. We show up, we work, and we go home.
