Asia Kitchen Restaurant

Asia Kitchen Restaurant is tucked inside the Holiday Inn Express on Ashram Road in Ahmedabad. We’re quite close to the Wadaj AMTS bus stand, so there are always people moving around outside at all hours. Being part of the hotel means we see a mix of people—some who are staying upstairs for business and some who just come in from the street because they’re hungry for something specific. Ashram Road is one of those places that never really seems to sleep. There’s always a bus, a car, or a rickshaw passing by the front doors. Inside the restaurant, we keep things pretty simple and functional. We focus on Asian dishes and try to keep the kitchen running smoothly throughout the day. It’s not always perfect; sometimes a dish takes a little longer than it should when we’re short-staffed, or the lunch rush is much bigger than we expected. We don’t use any big words or fancy language to describe what we do here. We just cook the food and serve it to the tables. The staff here has been together for a while, and we just go about our business every day without much fuss. We spend a lot of time cleaning up, prepping vegetables, and getting ready for the next shift to start. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and making sure everything is where it should be. We’re just a regular part of the hotel setup on a busy Ahmedabad street. People come in, they eat their meal, and they go on with their day. That’s pretty much the whole story.
