Ame Gujarati

Ame Gujarati is located within the Reform Club on Ashram Road in Ahmedabad. Our specific spot is 380006, right across from the Girish Cold Drinks and near the Nehru Bridge. Ashram Road is a major part of the city, so there’s always a lot of noise and cars moving by. Being inside the Reform Club gives us a bit of a different feel than a standalone restaurant on the street. It’s a place where people have been coming for years. We focus on Gujarati food because that’s what we know best. The kitchen is usually busy with the smell of different spices and vegetables being prepped. It’s not a polished corporate operation. We have staff who have been with us for a long time, and we just do our daily tasks. Sometimes the bridge traffic makes things a bit slow for people trying to get here, but once they're inside, it’s a bit calmer. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations or marketing posters. We just rely on being in a well-known spot like the Reform Club. We spend our days making sure the thalis are ready and everything is clean. It’s hard work, and some days are better than others, but we like being part of the Ashram Road community.
