Ambuja Cements Ltd.

Our setup is in Ahmedabad, right at Q/9 in the Swastik Apartments on Narayan Nagar Road in Paldi. It’s a pretty central spot, so we’re right in the middle of all the noise and traffic that comes with living in this city. We use this apartment as our base for Ambuja Cements Ltd. It’s not a big warehouse or a glass building. Instead, it’s a place where we sit and manage the logistics for the local area. The rooms are filled with files and some old computers that we use for the manifests. We’ve got the fans going all day to deal with the Ahmedabad heat. Most of our work involves talking to suppliers and making sure the trucks don't get stuck in the Paldi traffic. We aren't interested in looking fancy. The paint on the walls is a bit old, and we have folders stacked up on the windowsills. People who come by are usually contractors or delivery guys. We offer them some water or tea, talk about the day's work, and then get back to it. It’s a practical way to run things. We’ve been in this apartment for quite a while now, and it feels familiar to us. We know the shopkeepers downstairs and the rhythm of the street outside. It’s just a regular group of people doing a regular job, making sure the building projects in the city have the cement they need.
