Ambica Engineering Industries

Our workshop is tucked away on Salapose Cross Lane, right near Sardar Vallabh Bhai Arts College. It’s a bit of an older part of the city, and honestly, the noise from the college students walking by sometimes mixes with the sound of our lathes. We’ve been doing engineering work here for a long time. It’s mostly just us and the machines. The floor is concrete, stained with oil from years of different projects. We don’t really do anything fancy or have a glossy brochure to hand out to people who walk in. Usually, someone comes in with a piece of metal that needs turning or a part that snapped off an old machine, and we see if we can fix it or make a new one. The lighting isn't the best in the back of the shop, but we know where everything is. It gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of material delivered, especially being on a cross lane where parking is a headache. But the location is handy enough for locals. We start early, usually before the heat really kicks in, and just work through the pile of orders we have. It’s basic engineering, the kind where you measure twice and hope the old machine doesn't act up that day. There’s no big corporate structure here, just a few of us trying to keep things running for our neighbors and nearby businesses who need a hand. It’s hard work but we are used to it by now.
