La Trace Indian Food

You can find us at Bijli Ghar in the Agra Fort area, specifically near Hotel Kiran. Our location is very close to the fort itself, which means there are always people around, both locals and tourists. We focus on traditional Indian food and run our shop in a very simple way. There aren't any big decorations or polished signs here. We just have our kitchen area and a few basic tables for people who want to stop and eat. The Bijli Ghar area is quite old and has a lot of character, but it can also be very noisy and dusty with all the tourists and rickshaws going by. We start our mornings by visiting the local markets to get what we need for the day. It is just a small group of us working here, and we do everything from the cooking to washing the dishes at the end of the shift. We don't have a mission statement or any promotional talk. We just show up every day and get the stove started. Living and working so close to Agra Fort means we are used to the fast pace of the area. We focus on the practical side of running a food business, making sure the food is ready and the place is clean enough for the next person who walks in. It’s a steady job that keeps us busy from morning until night.
