Bawarchee

Bawarchee is a local food spot located in Shalimar Enclave, which is in the Kamala Nagar area of Agra. We are specifically situated at Rahul Place. This part of Agra is a mix of people living in their homes and small shops catering to the neighborhood. We are not one of those big restaurants that you see in the tourist brochures. We are just a regular place where we cook every day for the people who live nearby. The kitchen is where most of our work happens. We spend our mornings getting the vegetables ready and making sure the spices are right. The building is a simple commercial space and we have tried to make the seating area comfortable enough for a family to sit down and have a meal together. Agra can get incredibly hot during the summer months, so we do what we can to keep the air moving inside. We don't have a fancy website or a person handling our social media. It is just us doing the cooking and the serving. We know many of our regular customers by their first names because they have been coming here for a long time. Some days are slow and some days the phone doesn't stop ringing for deliveries. We just handle whatever comes our way and try to do an honest job. It is a quiet, steady life here in Kamala Nagar and we are glad to be a part of it.
