Our place, Voith Turbo Pvt. Ltd., is tucked away in the Po. Industrial Estate over in Nacharam, Hyderabad. It’s a typical industrial area, so there’s always plenty of dust and trucks moving around. We’ve been operating out of this spot for quite a while now. The work we do here is mostly technical, dealing with all sorts of machinery parts and turbo systems that go into bigger engines. It’s not the kind of job where you stay clean; you’re usually covered in a bit of grease by noon. Hyderabad gets pretty hot, especially in the summers, so the shop floor can be a bit of a challenge, but we have our fans running and we get through it. We aren't big on corporate speeches or anything like that. We just show up, check the schedules, and start working on whatever needs fixing or building. The Nacharam area is good for us because all the suppliers are nearby. Most of the staff lives around here too, so we’ve known each other for years. It feels more like a community than just a place to earn a paycheck. We take our time to make sure the parts are right because nobody wants a machine failing out in the field. It’s straightforward work for honest pay, and we’re glad to be a part of the local industry here. It keeps us busy and the families fed through the year.
