Our little place, Sai Vasavi Gifts And Photo Mug, is tucked away in Venkatadri Town Ship. We are at Plot 116, right on Road Number 2 in Phase 1. It’s a quiet enough area until the school buses start dropping kids off in the afternoons. The shop is full of boxes and printers. We spend a lot of time trying to get the photos to look right on the ceramic mugs. Sometimes the ink gets on our fingers and it’s hard to scrub off. We have a lot of different gift items on the shelves, though it can look a bit messy when we get a big shipment in. The neighbors in Chowdagiriguda usually stop by just to see what’s new or to chat for a few minutes. It isn't a huge operation. Most days it’s just us making sure the machines are warm and the paper is loaded properly. We do a lot of birthdays and small events for people living nearby. There’s a small fan in the corner that rattles when it’s on high. We keep a ledger for the orders, mostly handwritten because it’s faster for us. It’s just a regular shop where we do our best with what we have. It gets a bit crowded during the festival seasons, but mostly it’s just a steady pace of work throughout the week. We try to stay organized but things pile up.
