Variety Bujia Bhandar

Variety Bujia Bhandar is tucked away in Punjabi Bagh East at 25/9. It’s a small place but it stays quite busy. We spend most of the day surrounded by the smell of spices and fried snacks. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you’ll often see a couple of us working the counters or bagging up orders. We make different kinds of bujia and namkeen that people like to have with their evening tea. The floor is often a bit slick and there’s always a fine dust of flour in the air. We don’t have fancy packaging or big marketing budgets. Most people just bring their own bags or we use simple plastic ones. We’ve been here long enough that we know what the regulars like. Some want more salt, some want it extra spicy. The machines can be loud and sometimes they act up, which slows us down, but we get the orders out eventually. It’s not a polished corporate office; it’s a working kitchen and shop. We start early in the morning to get the fresh batches ready. Some days are exhausting and the heat from the big pans is a lot to handle, but it’s what we do. We just want to provide decent snacks that taste like they should without any hidden ingredients or strange additives. It is a humble setup but we take pride in the food we put out every single day.
