Tanatan Corner

You will find Tanatan Corner over in Uttam Nagar specifically at Prem Nagar 4-A. We have a small shop that sits on a busy street where there is always a lot of noise and traffic. It is just a regular place where we make food for the local crowd. Being in Uttam Nagar means there are always rickshaws and motorbikes passing by our door. We started this place because we wanted to work for ourselves. It is not a huge operation by any means. Most days it is just two of us handling everything from taking the money to cleaning the tables. The morning starts early when we bring in the fresh supplies from the market. We don't have any big storage space so we have to shop every day. The sink sometimes gets clogged and the lights flicker when the power is low but we keep going. We don't have a mission statement or any of those corporate things. We just open up and see who comes in. A lot of kids from the nearby school come here for a snack in the afternoon. We know most of them by name now. The shop at 4-A is small and can get very crowded when four or five people are inside. We just do our best to get the orders out. It is a simple life and it keeps us busy from dawn to dusk.
