Surprise Intl.

If you come to J-Block in Vikaspuri, you can find our place at B-1 in the Gujranwala section. We’ve been in this building for quite a bit of time now. The name on the door says Surprise Intl., and that’s basically what we are—a small outfit that handles all sorts of international trade and sourcing. It’s mostly just a few desks and a lot of storage space for the items we handle. The neighborhood is mostly houses, so it’s a bit of a walk to get to the nearest metro station or the main shops. We don't have a lot of people coming in and out, most of our business happens over the computer or through the mail. I usually get here early to beat the heat, especially in the summer months when it gets really stuffy inside. We have a lot of old catalogs and samples piled up in the corners that I really should clear out one day. It’s not a high-pressure environment here. We just take the orders as they come and try to get the logistics sorted out. Dealing with shipping can be a headache, but we’ve learned how to manage it over the years. We aren't trying to grow into some huge company; we like the size we are. It’s a simple way to make a living and we know our neighbors well. Just a quiet office in Vikaspuri doing its work day by day. We've got a small kettle for tea and that is about it.
