Maini Gift & Stationery Shop

We are sitting right at Shop No C/77, which is very close to the Clock Tower in Hari Nagar. If you live around here, you probably pass that tower every day. Maini Gift & Stationery Shop has been in this spot for quite a while. We have all sorts of things piled up on the shelves. Pens, notebooks, little items for kids, and stuff people need for school or the office. It gets pretty crowded in here when the school bell rings and the students come running in for a last-minute pencil or a card. The shop isn't very large, so we have to use every bit of wall space we have. Sometimes it feels like the boxes are going to fall over, but we have a system. The Clock Tower is a good landmark, so people never really get lost finding us. The road outside is always full of rickshaws and people walking to the market. It can get loud, especially with the horns and the shouting, but that is just life in Hari Nagar. We know most of the regulars who come in. They stop to chat for a minute while they pick out a pen. We don't do anything fancy here. We just open the shutters in the morning and close them at night. It’s a simple way to make a living, and we enjoy being right in the middle of the neighborhood. We see the same faces every week.
