Shri Kanha Tikki Wala

Shri Kanha Tikki Wala is located in the Main Market of Sector 4 in Vaishali at Shop No 6 on the ground floor of Uma Shopping Arcade. Our spot at Plot No 13 is right where all the action happens and you can usually hear the sound of the tawa scraping from a distance. We spend most of our afternoons prepping the potatoes and getting the chutneys ready before the evening crowd starts to arrive. The arcade is a busy place with people shopping for all sorts of things and many of them stop by our shop for a quick bite before they head home. It is a simple setup with the big flat tawa right at the front so everyone can see what is being cooked. We use a lot of oil and spices and the smell drifts through the market which helps people find us. There are no fancy chairs or tables just a basic counter where we serve the food as hot as possible. Being in Vaishali means we see a lot of families out for a walk and we’ve gotten to know many of the shopkeepers nearby too. We just focus on getting the tikkis crispy and serving them quickly because nobody likes to wait too long when they are hungry. It’s a steady job and we like being in the middle of the market buzz every single day and making sure the pots are full for the next batch of hungry people.
