Shree Maakhan Sweets

We are located at A1/22 in Janakpuri. This is a family-style sweet shop where we focus on the stuff people grew up eating. Every morning starts with the smell of desi ghee and cardamom. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just a few of us behind the counter and the guys in the back doing the heavy lifting with the pans. Janakpuri is a big area, but our corner feels like a small village sometimes because we know so many of our customers by name. We see the kids coming in after school for a quick snack, and the older folks who stop by for their usual box of laddoos. During festival times, the place is a bit of a madhouse. We have boxes stacked up to the ceiling and everyone is working extra hours. It gets exhausting, but it’s part of the trade. The display cases are always full of whatever we made fresh that morning. We don’t try to be modern or trendy; we just stick to what we know. The shop isn't very large, so it gets cramped when there are more than five people inside. We just try to keep things clean and the food fresh. It’s a simple business, and we like it that way. We’ve been at this spot for a long time and hope to stay for much longer.
