Our workshop is at 23/7 in the Matiala Indl. Area, which is part of Uttam Nagar. It’s a loud place because there are always machines running and people shouting over the noise. At Shanti Kitchen Equipment Pvt. Ltd., we spend our days working with stainless steel. We make things like big stoves, sinks, and counters for commercial kitchens. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and we have to sweep it up several times a day. It gets very hot in the summer because of the welding and the lack of a good breeze in this part of the industrial area. We have a small office upstairs, but it’s mostly used for storing files and taking a quick lunch break. We don’t have a salesperson who goes around in a car. Most people just come to the gate because they saw our sign or a friend told them about us. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just build stuff that can handle the heavy use of a busy restaurant. Sometimes we run out of materials and have to wait for a truck, which can be annoying, but we always catch up. It’s a tough job and our hands are usually dirty by the end of the shift. We just want to make things that last a long time. It’s a simple goal for a busy shop, and we just keep at it.
