Shalimar Food Chain

Shalimar Food Chain is tucked away in Plot No.B-209, in the B Block of Uttam Nagar East. It’s a very busy part of town, especially being so close to the Uttam Nagar Police Station. You hear sirens going off quite often, and there’s always people moving around outside. Our space isn’t very large, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need into the unit. We handle a lot of food distribution from this spot. It’s a lot of coordination, making sure the drivers know where they are going and that the orders are packed correctly. I spend most of my morning on the laptop or checking the clipboards hanging by the door. The floor is concrete and gets cold in the winter months, so we all wear thick sweaters. It’s a bit cramped when we get a big shipment in, and we have to stack the boxes all the way to the ceiling. We don't really have a showroom or a place for customers to sit down. It’s more of a hub for our operations. Most of the people who work here live nearby, so we just walk or take the cycle to get in. It’s a noisy, hectic environment, but we’ve been at this address for a long time and we know the neighborhood well. It is just where we show up every day to make sure things get delivered.
