Punjab Sweet Shop

You can find us in Tilak Nagar at Shop No B/118, right on the Main Najafgarh Road near Ganesh Nagar. We have been here for a long time, and the shop has seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. Our day starts very early, around four or five in the morning, when the milk arrives and we start heating up the big vats. The smell of frying and sugar is something we live with every day. It’s a busy spot because the road outside is one of the main ones, so there is always noise from the traffic and the metro passing by. We have people coming in all day for a quick snack or to pick up boxes for a party at home. During the festivals like Diwali, it gets absolutely crazy and we barely have time to sit down. We make everything in the back, and it’s a hot, busy place with lots of steam and people moving quickly. Most of our regular customers have been coming here since they were kids. We don't spend much on decorations or fancy lighting; we just focus on the food and making sure the counters are full. Sometimes the floor gets a bit sticky, but that’s just what happens in a sweet shop. We just keep doing what we know how to do, day after day, and hope people enjoy what they eat.
