We’ve been here in New Janakpuri for a while now. The workshop at Rzb-97A gets pretty busy most days. It’s not a huge place, but we have enough space to handle the pipe work people ask for. My brother and I started this because we knew how to work with the materials. Uttam Nagar is a crowded area, so getting deliveries in and out can be a bit of a headache sometimes with the traffic on the main roads. We mostly spend our time cutting, shaping, and checking everything before it goes out. It’s dusty work. You’ll usually find us covered in some sort of grit by noon. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything. It's just a practical setup where we get things done. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a short break, but mostly we are just focused on the orders. People around here know where we are if they need something specific made. We try to keep things simple. If a machine breaks, we fix it ourselves. It's just how we operate. Nothing too complicated. We like the neighborhood even if it's loud. The neighbors are used to the sounds from our shop by now. It feels good to finish a batch and see it loaded onto the truck. That’s pretty much the daily routine for us at Modern Pipes Craft. We stay late if there is a lot to do, which happens more often than not lately. It’s a lot of manual labor, but it keeps us going.
